^{prior to season 5 he would have dreams about lorelai, post season 5 he tends to have dreams about cars.}

^{before the series, it would’ve been when his father got sick. his mother had already died and liz was gone with jess so it was just luke and william. during the series, it would’ve been losing lorelai (both times).}
